Yesterday, dated 12th of Jan.2010. at Perangsang Templer Resort,the Gombak District Education Office held a special occation to recognise and award schools which have met the requirements in achieving the certain or specific"Quality" in many categories for both secondary and primary schools amongst of which are :
1. Best Quality achievement in co-curricular activities
2. Best Resource Centre management
3. Text Book Loan Scheme Operation Room (BOSS)
4. Best school operating the 3K ( Cleanliness, Safety and Health in school environment)
5. All examinations achievements- UPSR,PMR, SPM and STP
6. Best Quality among Boarding schools in Gombak
7. Award for best Quality Control PPD Gombak (2009)
8. Award for best school financial management
9. Best Parents Teachers Association management
10. Best school's landscape
11. Best Academic Achievements.
What must be proud of is that the Deputy Education Ministry Yang Berhormat Datuk Ir. Wee Ka Siong graced the occcasion. And for the State Education Office -was represented by Tn. Hj Bajuri Abdullah. Pn Dayang the new Gombak District Officer uttered the first speech and Tn Hj Bajuri gave his speech next. Both of them were proud of the effort made by the Gombak District Education Office in this quality control achievement.
The Deputy Education Ministry graced the funtion where most all headteachers and pricipals, senior assistants and all chairman of PTA were entertained including retiring Gombak District officer Pn Siti Normah Yusuf who was also awarded as the Tokoh Kualiti.
As for SK Selayang Jaya we managed to be annouced as the second best achievement in UPSR (Lonjakan Saujana) and one af the best school financial management (Good Category) Well something that should be shared with all staffs and teachers. May Allah bless with both of SK Selayang Jaya achievement on this Special Occasion and of course the moment the Deputy Ministry gave the award to me, Deep in my heart "These two Awards is definitely not for me alone, its for the whole school organization who have always collabarate and coorperate in doing and accomplish the tasks in schools for the pupils and the community that surrounds us... Something that should be cherished for this may only the thrilling moments in receiving awards in working life.. Who Knows....TQ
